博士;1991.9 ~现在 华中农业大学生命科学技术学院,助教,讲师,副教授,教授,博士生导师;农业微生物学国家重点实验室副主任、微生物学国家重点学科负责人、中国微生物学会理事兼农业微生物学专业委员会副主任、湖北省暨武汉市微生物学会常务理事兼农业微生物学专业委员会主任。主要从事以苏云金芽胞杆菌为对象的微生物农药开发相关的基础和应用工作。1988年毕业于武汉大学生物系微生物专业,获学士学位。1991和1995年于华中农业大学分别硕士和博士研究生毕业。2000年入选教育部“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”,2011年入选农业部“农业科研杰出人才”及其创新团队,2013年评为湖北省教学名师;曾在美国、加拿大、新加坡和香港做访问学者。先后主持国家863、国家973、国家自然科学基金、国家青年863、国家转基因专项、国际科学基金等20多项科研课题。在Plos Pathogens,Trends in Microbiology,Environmental Microbiology,Journal of Biological Chemistry,Proceedings of the Royal Society B-Biological Sciences, Applied and Environmental Microbiology等国际期刊上发表SCI收录论文80多篇。主编出版国家规划教材《基因工程》(2006第一版, 2013第二版,高等教育出版社),主讲国家精品课程和国家精品资源共享课程“基因操作原理”。先后获“湖北省技术发明一等奖”、“湖北省自然科学奖三等奖”、“教育部提名国家自然科学奖二等奖”和“武汉市科技进步奖二等奖”等奖项。入选“第十届湖北科技精英”, 获第六届湖北省青年科技奖,第六届湖北省十大杰出青年提名奖, 曾获湖北省“全省农业科技先进工作者”称号以及联合国教科文组织-美国微生物学会青年奖,享受国务院政府特殊津贴待遇;任国际无脊椎动物病理学会细菌专业委员会秘书长,第二届国际苏云金芽胞杆菌杀虫基因命名委员会委员,国家自然科学基金委员会第12届专家评审组成员, 第二届微生物学名词审定委员会委员, 农业部农业部第六、七、八届肥料登记评审委员会委员;《生物资源》期刊主编。
